After trying every type of work boot and sneaker there is cougar paws was the one that kept me upright on those 10/12's and up where I could truly start running shingles to the nailers safely and effectively. So much time is lost in a roof in heat trying to navigate a pitch safely and cougar paws delivered. My only stipulation was the life span of the pads I just received these yesterday today pads tour up lol 3 roofs in maybe I need a sponsor for just the pads

They are not true to size. My old pair of the estimator boot were a size 9 and fit perfectly. They fell apart on the inside after about two years, so I ordered the Steep Sneak II in the same size. These new size 9s are much tighter, both in length and width. I’m hoping they stretch out a little with wear.

These boots were guaranteed by this weekend, but they are delayed somewhere in the middle of nowhere. I have a job today and my boots are 4 days late of the 'promise' date.

What a difference. Bought these to paint my house. South facing roof is getting worn. Lots of loose granules. My Cougar Paws made such a difference. No slipping and sliding. Game changer! There is some slippage in the heel. I think the boot version would fix that. I wear a size 12 in ASICS. I ordered a 12 in the Cougar Paws and they fit great.

Heels don't want to stay down, not very comfortable. I could see wanting these on shallow sloped roofs (5-7 / 12) for a breeze on your ankles, but you'd still need a pair of Performers to do anything steep, which would also serve you well on the 5's, 6's, 7's, so there's literally no reason to own both.

100% feels like a true-to-size cushioned sneaker, however, the heel slips on 9+ pitch no matter how tight you tie the laces. Heel slipped out on first 9 pitch i climbed with them and I slid in my sock to catch my shoe further down in the valley. Initially I thought i may not have tightened them enough. Next roof I climbed was a 10 pitch, I tied the shoes tight enough to suffocate my feet and still they felt like slipping out. I'm going back to my Cougar Paw Performers. BE WARNED!!!

The roofing sneakers were just as promised. Well built, quality craftsmanship. Unfortunately, I had to return the shoes due to health issues which prevented me from using them as intended. Customer service was very understanding and processed my return very quickly.

They are nice however there's things I really don't like about them. First being the soul is so thick and then having a thick pad leaves your feet a bit unstable, because they are so low cut rolling your ankle is a real possibility. The heel is straight up and down and does not allow your foot to be locked securely in like most sneakers. What I do like about them is the quality is there I think they just need a bit more tweaking and to shed some weight. They are much better than the boots but still a bit cumbersome.

I ordered these because I needed to work up on my 8:12 pitch roof and my hiking boots didn't seem to have any grip on the asphalt shingles. The Steep Sneak II shoes arrived very quickly and exceeded my expectations. They look to be well made and are very comfortable, but most importantly they really grip on the roof shingles and allowed me to get on with the work that needed doing.
